Today multiple news sources across the United States reported that the Biden Administration and the Hill Democrats are expected to release an Immigration Reform Bill later this week entitled the “U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021.” The U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 is supposed to reflect the immigration priorities that President Joe Biden unveiled on his first day in office such as an earned pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants; an expansion of the refugee resettlement program, and to deploy more technology to the Southern border. It is rumored that there are additional protections being considered in the Immigration Reform Bill, such as asylum processing in home countries for minors, expanded benefits for DREAMers and ending the public charge rule. Please stay tuned for updates.
